Explanation for long silence:

1. Great summer having fun in long evenings with terrific, fast-growing kids. Way too busy enjoying myself.
2. Been without a home PC for about three months now, since I killed the laptop. It's working again now, but only just - still needs to have the OS stripped down and completely reinstalled.
3. I'm just basically unreliable.

After many months of nothing, the laptop's going to be back together soon, the nights are getting darker and the urge is on me again. More blog real soon. Promise.
