Corporate email policy should be strictly adhered to. Er... but which one?

Infoglut. Widely-acknowledged, oft-reported, much-bemoaned.

Lots of ideas out there to help one manage in a sea of email, IM, yada yada yada. GTD, and all that.

As my personal email style tends towards the garrulous, I find the idea of this new policy most appealling:

The Problem

E-mail takes too long to respond to, resulting in continuous inbox overflow for those who receive a lot of it.

The Solution

Treat all email responses like SMS text messages, using a set number of letters per response. Since it’s too hard to count letters, we count sentences instead.

three.sentenc.es is a personal policy that all email responses regardless of recipient or subject will be three sentences or less. It’s that simple.
I like it.

Hmmm... but hang on a second. Maybe I like this one even more. Or is this one more practical? Or this...?

Oh, make yer darn minds up.
